My time at St. Nicholas

• Opportunities to do all different sports against different schools.
  
  
• I like this school because when you get feed back from your school work it helps you improve.
  
  
• Wish - that the infants & juniors could play together at lunchtime.
  
  The Junior Playground Players can go in to the Infant Playground at lunchtime.
  
  
  
• I enjoyed all the trips and residential we have had.
  
  
• I have enjoyed all the Art & DT we have had.
  
  
• Wish – More fun activities before SAT’s week 
  
  There are enrichment activities throughout the year, before and after SATs 
  
  
  
• I enjoyed playing for the school football team.
  
  
• I enjoyed all sports at school.      
  
  
• Wish – I would prefer footballs outside and no certain days for football or grass.
  
  There are footballs outside, however as we have a small grassed area each year group does have to have a certain day.

• Wish – Better games to play in circle time.
  
  With the introduction of SEAL there are more resources in school for circle time.

• Wish – My wish about this school is to not pick on certain pupils to do fun things in our class.
  
  Staff always choose children fairly in class to take part in activities

  We have a wide variety of sports available including rugby, football, golf , judo, and tennis.We are always looking as a school to extend the range of activities available.

  We are purchasing picnic tables for games to be played on and we are having more markings put on the playground. This is scheduled for the Easter holidays when the building work has finished.
  
  
  
• I have enjoyed the fact that there is a variety of trips for example going to London in year four.
  
  
• Also I have enjoyed all the different things we have made in DT like lighthouses and fairground rides.
  
  
• Wish – I think for a wish we should have the fences in the junior playground painted to make it look child friendly.
  
  The fences will be painted when the roof work has been finished.
  
  
  
• I like the way the signs have been put up e.g. Quiet Area.
  
  
• I also like the benches in the playground so you can go and get some shade.
  
  
• Wish – I wish that we could go on the grass to play on more often. 
  
  The space on the grass area is very limited and it is n’t possible for all classes to use it at the same time.
  
  
  
• I’ve really enjoyed all the sports opportunities, especially running at the Alexandra stadium.
  
  
• I really liked having a chance to be a playground player and peer mediator.
  
  
• Wish – I think that to improve the school there could be a wider range of instruments to play.
  
  We do offer a wide range of instruments to play in school.

  We are starting a new ICT club so that pupils can have more time in the suite.
  
  
  
• My time at St Nicholas has been fun there is always fun had at the school trip its never boring even museums.  
  
  
• There are great resources like the ICT suite, also lots of clubs e.g. gardening club and art club.
  
  
• Wish – I think maybe sometimes we should get out of the Classroom more. 
  
  The outdoor classroom has been repaired and can be used at all times.
  
  
  
• St Nicholas is a good school because we have many opportunities to go on school trips e.g. London.
  
  
• Also we have had many different DT topics which we have enjoyed e.g. fairground rides.
  
  
• Wish – Better equipment on the grass for the juniors.
  
  We are limited to the amount of equipment that we can put on the grass as the space is so small.

• Wish – My wish would be to have the ideas, but then to do them.
  
  As a school we have to prioritise the work and ideas as we can’t do everything at once.

  A new menu has been introduced, the school council will be involved in taster sessions for the new menu.
