Here is a collection of some of our most special work. It is so special that we have displayed in pride of place, in our school hall.
In Reception we have been reading "Elmer the Patchwork Elephant" and using the computer to paint Elmer pictures.
Year 1 have been reading 'The Tiger who came to Tea'. We have been making lists of things the Tiger might have wanted to eat if he was still hungry.
In Year 2 we have been reading poems by Spike Milligan, including 'The Ning, Nang, Nong'. Inspired by this poem, we wrote our own in a similar style.
In year 3 we have been finding out about life in Victorian times. We have written some diary entries as if we were children in Victorian times.
This term Year 4 have been looking at the weather and using it as an inspiration for writing. We have written poems, thinking about the power of the weather.
In Year 5 we have been looking at the books written by the author Martin Waddell, including 'Owl Babies' and 'The Ghost Family Robinson'. We then produced our own illustrated pages and alternative chapters for these books.
In year 6 we have been thinking about Britain since 1930 and especially World War II. We have written some 'Blitz Poety' using news reports, photographs, interviews and novels to help us.
